Description
This lemon mint sparkling water weight loss drink is a fizzy, low-calorie way to replace soda. It combines plain sparkling water, fresh lemon, and mint leaves for a refreshing drink that supports hydration and healthy habits.
Ingredients
1 cup cold plain sparkling water (unsweetened, unflavored)
1/2 cup cold still water (optional, to soften the fizz)
2–3 thin lemon slices (or 1–2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice)
6–8 fresh mint leaves, gently bruised
Ice cubes, enough to fill the glass
Optional: a few cucumber slices
Instructions
1. Fill a large glass halfway with ice cubes.
2. Add the lemon slices and fresh mint leaves, then gently press them with the back of a spoon to release their juices and oils.
3. Pour in the still water if using, to make the drink slightly softer and less intensely fizzy.
4. Slowly top up the glass with cold sparkling water, pouring along the side of the glass to preserve the bubbles.
5. Stir gently, taste, and adjust with extra lemon or mint if desired.
6. Serve immediately while it is cold and sparkling.
Notes
Use plain sparkling water with no added sugar or sweeteners to keep this drink low calorie.
Add cucumber slices for a spa-style twist and extra freshness.
If you are transitioning away from soda, you can add a few drops of stevia at first and gradually reduce the sweetness.
Enjoy this drink before meals or as an afternoon pick-me-up instead of sugary sodas or juices.
