Description
Easy gluten free soy sauce marinade that adds big umami to chicken, tofu, or vegetables in minutes. Perfect for quick sheet pan dinners, stir fries, and weekly meal prep.
Ingredients
1/4 cup gluten free soy sauce or tamari
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp gluten free rice vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil or neutral oil
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp black pepper
1–2 tbsp green onions, sliced (for topping)
Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Add gluten free soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, oil, and honey to a small bowl or jar.
2. Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper until the marinade is well combined.
3. Place chicken, tofu, shrimp, or vegetables in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over.
4. Marinate in the fridge for at least 20–30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor.
5. Cook on a sheet pan, grill, skillet, or in an air fryer until done, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Always use certified gluten free soy sauce or tamari to keep this marinade truly gluten free.
This gluten free soy sauce marinade works with salmon, firm tofu, or mushrooms for a quick protein.
Serve with rice bowls, stir fried vegetables, or slices of no-knead gluten free bread for a complete meal.
Double the batch and store in the fridge for up to 3 days, then whisk before using if it separates.
